Brief Me
I am an academic, researcher, and control engineer in the area of Automation & Control. I primarily work on advanced (networked, intelligent, resilient, secure) control theories and technologies for cooperative autonomous systems (CAS) — like networks of autonomous vehicles, wireless mobile robots, or distributed power units that communicate over some network medium and coordinate to achieve shared goals. My research emphasises distributed, scalable, and intelligent estimation, control, and optimisation algorithms, allowing these systems to make local decisions while reliably and efficiently sharing information, even in the face of challenging circumstances, such as unexpected disturbances or faults, limited computation and communication resource budgets, communicaton delays, data losses, malicious cyber threats, etc.
I am also interested in integrating AI, machine learning, and swarm intelligence into the algorithms to enhance collective decision-making, optimise task distribution and operation, and improve stability, safety, reliability, efficiency, resilience, and intelligence of the CAS.
My ultimate goal is to create distributed, scalable, and intelligent CAS that make real-world industrial and engineering applications smarter, safer, more resilient, secure, and efficient.
☆☆ To Prospective Students & Scholars ☆☆
I am always looking for prospective PhD & Master-by-Research
candidates who are self-motivated with research interest/background in mobile robots, power systems, energy
management systems, electric vehicles, autonomous road
and rail vehicles, connected vehicles, intelligent
transportation systems, and so on.
